Livadi is situated about ten minutes drive from Lixouri which is the second-largest town on Kefalonia. The town has its own hospital, many banks, shops and all the facilities found in the capital, Argostoli. From Livadi one can travel north, on the peninsula, (around 15 minutes) to reach the beautiful bay of Petani and Atheras. Both offer tavernas and general beach facilities. The Paliki peninsular is renowned for its fabulous varied beaches which extend along its vast coastline.
